Immersion is a summer discipleship trip that you don’t want to miss! We are once again teaming up with the Bridge Street House of Prayer (BSHOP) on the West Side of Grand Rapids, Michigan. This trip covers more than what a typical mission trip would, by being intentional about stretching students in their faith and helping them to go deeper in their relationship with the Lord. Through teaching moments, worship and service each student will find themselves immersed into a lifestyle of living for God and loving the people around them, whether in the neighborhoods or their own youth group.

We start out the trip with 3 days of backcountry camping to have fun together, grow close as a team and hear from God. We will then head back to the West Side of GR and be living in one of the BSHOP houses where we will spend the rest of the trip. Come experience a daily rhythm of prayer, teaching, worship, prayer walking, neighborhood service projects, street evangelism and other ministry opportunities!

Renewal – Revival – Restoration

“The renewal of individuals, the revival of a community, and the restoration of the Nations”

“To develop totally committed followers of Jesus Christ to reach the world”

      • To see individuals renewed by encountering and experiencing the presence & power of God. Acts 3:19
      • To see revival in our community through individuals reflecting and revealing on earth as it is in heaven. 1 Corinthians 12:7-11
      • To see nations restored & awakened through equipping the saints to fulfill the Great Commission. Ephesians 4:11-12, Matthew 28:18-20

Core Values

Our First Ministry is to God

Our personal love relationship with our Heavenly Father is priority number one. Mark 12:30

Every Believer is a Minister of the Gospel

We will Equip the Saints (believers) to do the work of the ministry by embracing God’s biblical government of Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors, & Teachers. Ephesians 4:11

Praise & Worship

We are a church that houses a priesthood- a worshiping community offering spiritual sacrifices to God, whose primary focus is ministering to God Himself. 1 Peter 2:5

Kingdom Focused

We will keep and maintain our focus on Jesus and His Kingdom. Focusing on the Kingdom is our safeguard to never becoming problem focused. Matthew 6:33

Hearing God’s Voice

God’s voice gives and produces life, identity, and produces faith…faith comes from hearing God. Hearing His voice is central to living the Christian life. Romans 10:17

We Are A Chosen Generation

This value trains us to see ourselves as our Father in Heaven does, which will translate into valuing others the way the Father does. It produces a culture of Honor where we learn to celebrate each other as Royalty. 1 Peter 2:9

This value creates a lifestyle for us to live by, and is the supplication of the saints. We are generation that longs to see “On Earth as is in Heaven”.  Luke 11:2

Jake is the pastor of Access, the college and young adult ministry at Resurrection Life Church. He graduated with a double major in Biblical Studies and Elementary Education from Grace Bible College and Cornerstone University.

Pastor Jake and his wife Abbie have a passion for empowering this generation to walk in intimacy with God. They believe a personal relationship with God, Jesus and Holy Spirit leads to a transformation of life that affects every dimension of an individual. The love we receive from God leads us to a place of love and compassion for our spheres of influence. Through the intimate relationship with God, we are able to walk more and more like Jesus in our everyday lives.

Nick is the Ministry Coordinator of Access. He and his wife met within the Access ministry, and enjoy serving along side each other both in ministry and the church. They also minister to young married couples and budding creatives.

When not working at the church, Nick is reading, writing as well as developing his portfolio as a fine art and wedding photographer.

Though he’s not musical, Nicks passion lies within worship. He and his wife Emily, lead young creatives in learning how to worship through their creative gifting. Nick and Emily believe that being made in the image of the Creator, we are all creative in some shape or form, and God delights in relating to Him in this way.

Tiffany is the worship leader of Access. She has been committed to the Access ministry for many years. She’s completed the Worship & Creative Art’s Internship under Ken Reynolds and the WCA Team.

Tiffany strongly believes that through encountering Christ, a heart can be truly changed. Together with the team, they desire for people to meet God right where they are, and worship is one of the many ways to do it. For her it’s important that there is unity in the team, trusting that where there is unity, God will fulfill his promise. Not only will the team be blessed, but the ministry as a whole.

Tiffany and her husband Tyler, believe that God has great plans in store for the Access ministry, and with Resurrection Life Church as a whole.

Andrew is currently training to be an electrician. He has a passion for taking the Kingdom of God into every home that he enters.

Andrew Lanning

Our goal is to develop totally committed followers of Jesus Christ to reach the world.

We believe that the love of God changes everything. When a person realizes for themselves how much value their life has, transformation begins. All of humanity is longing for an encounter with the love of God. Our desire is to create an atmosphere where people from any background can experience the life transformational power of an encounter with The Living God.

A true encounter with the love of God draws us into community with others. Godly friendships are a key ingredient to healthy spiritual growth. Our desire is to promote and lead people into authentic Christ centered community.

The Kingdom of God is not located in a building. Jesus demonstrated the Kingdom was located wherever He went. The saints (all believers) have the authority and ability to bring the Kingdom of God to all circumstances. One of our strongest passions is to see a generation of people who understand that Christianity is to be taken with them wherever they go. Revival in the world starts when believers have a transformational revelation that they take Christ with them to their jobs, schools, families, neighborhoods and everywhere else they are located.

One of our strongest convictions is that God still talks to His children today. We are committed to equipping believers through teaching, workshops and conferences on how to hear and discern the voice of God.
