More than six million men and women are incarcerated, on probation or parole in the United States. It’s not just a social problem; it’s a heart issue.
Recognizing this spiritual need, the Resurrection Life Church Prison Ministry makes weekly efforts to reach the lost and hurting people in the prison system of Michigan.
We minister the life-changing power of God through:

- Q. Where do you go minister?
- A. We visit a variety of state and county correctional facilities as well as rehabilitation facilities in counties around the Grand Rapids region on a regular basis. Monthly ministry visits are also important part of this ministry
- Q. Is there any follow up after people are out of prison?
- A. Through mentoring, support of the Alpha House and the support group called The Reconnection, we befriend former inmates to build them up in their faith and integrate them in to the church body.
- Q. Why prisoners?
- A. Many people seem to fear entering a correctional facility. They think of the crimes committed and often think of inmates as extremely negative. Yet, the Bible tells us to remember those in prison as if we were chained with them, because we are all part of the body of Christ. We minister to prisoners because they need to know Christ and how He can make them into new creations.
