RECRUITING AN OUTREACH TEAM
Pastor Jerry and Jana Lackey

Love Botswana Outreach Missions Jana and Jerry Lackey have been serving the Lord for 20 plus years in Maun, Africa. They preach weekly to 400 plus, planted and continue to provide leadership to rural church plants, operate and run the Okavango International School, established and continue to teach in the Love Botswana Bible Institute, as well, as continue to fight the battle of Aids in growing ministry known as Mercy Ministries. LBOM provides a variety of opportunities for Discipleship, Outreach, Leadership and Construction.
Teams that choose Discipleship will focus on building new Christians up in the truths and principles of the Bible. The main focus of Outreach teams is evangelism and reaching out to those in need such as “Hut to Hut” personal evangelism, presenting the Jesus Film, dramas for school assemblies, visiting prisons and hospitals, and special church services. Leadership teams consist of Pastoral staff members, Sunday School Teachers, and Small Group Leaders who are called to go out and train up new leaders. They will visit the rural churches to provide mentoring and coaching to new pastors. There are several Construction projects in need of completion. This team would work on building all day and than holding a service every night.
In August of 2007, SMM was able to send a team to assist in the school, administration, and participate in “Hut to Hut” ministry in the rural churches and local community. Now, is the time to ask the Lord. “Am I being called to go as your servant to meet the needs of this ministry?”
RECRUITING A TEAM TO ASSIST IN THE ORPHANGE AND SCHOOL
Pastor Ernest Cassy
The Good Shepherd Orphanage and Schools Foundation

Single Minded Missions returns to Haiti with their 3rd team. God has called us to send a spirit filled team that will provide an anointed willing vessel to reach the children of Haiti. Papa Cassy’s ministry is currently operating an orphanage, two schools and a day care center. Many of the young adults who have grown up in the orphanage continue to work and sow into the ministry. God has opened the door for us to work in their schools and orphanage, as well, as work on some different construction projects. We have painted and assisted in construction of their pre-school and a new facility that will host missionaries, as well, as provided basic vocational training in the sewing room, the auto shop, cabinetry department and worked with their medical team. The greatest gift though has been to share Christ’s Love and Word with each other. God continues to call us to join hands and hearts with the children of Haiti. God will heal Haiti through His Children. Proverbs 22:6 “Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.” Luke 1:80 “And the child grew and became strong in spirit and he lived in the desert until he appeared publicly to Israel.” Is God calling you to share your love with these children?
RECRUITING A CONSTRUCTION TEAM
Pastor Dawlin and Rosemary Urena
"En La Roca Inglesia"

In 2005, Pastor Dawlin Urena attended a Single Minded Missions meeting to share the vision that God has placed on his heart: to build ten churches in ten years. After sharing his heart, we knew that we were called to partner with Pastor Dawlin Urena and his family to spread the gospel in Cambita, Dominican Republic.
In May of 2005, Pastor Dawlin opened his first church called, “En La Roca Inglesia” (On the Rock Church). Single Minded Missions was able to send down two separate teams. SMM sent a team, in June 06 that was able to share their experiences in ministry and provide some teaching of leadership skills to the members. In October 2006, SMM was called to build a basketball court to minister to and draw in the children. As the team members served, they begin to build Godly relationships, as well, as their personal relationship with Jesus Christ grew to a deeper level. One team member came back with a new understanding of what it is like to truly have a Father (God) who loves her and what it really means to forgive and be free in HIM.
We will continue to send teams to support God’s work in the Dominican Republic. We will be building log cabins for a new camp that the church will be starting. We will also be pouring cement over part of the church roof. Pastor’s Dawlins vision is to rise up and plant 10 churches in 10 years. Prayerfully consider being a part of this great opportunity to bless others.
RECRUITING A CONSTRUCTION TEAM AND TEAM TO ASSIST IN THE ORPHANGE
Robert and Carmen Sawyer
"Helping Hands International Ministries"

In 2004, Single Minded Missions joined hands with Colima, Mexico to work on a construction project at La Esperenza. God orchestrated their talents on the building project of the Esperanze Vocational School/Tech Center, laying brick, tying rebar, making brackets and pouring cement. They not only completed the construction of the walls but had the opportunity to reach out to do some street witnessing. God sent 12 team members to Mexico who returned to US having shared the gospel to several and leading 12 people to Salvation.
God has called Single Minded Missions to once again join hands with “Helping Hands International” to continue their building projects ministry and to work in their orphanage. They have built homes for teenage boys, a pre -school home for children under 6, a new ministry program for teenage girls. They run a drug and alcohol rehabilitation center for men, and women’s life skills development home. They have also built a boys home for boys from juvenile correction institutes or right off the street, as well as continue their construction of vocational school. Pastor Robert Sawyer shares: “It is through the hope that we have in Christ that we are able to see permanent changes in these children’s lives and for their future.”
RECRUITING AN EVANGELISM AND DISCIPLISHIP TEAM
Pastor Pablo and Mila
"A Heart for Peru"

In 2005, Single Minded Missions sent a team of 20 to assist in evangelism of Lima and Urbamba. In 2006, SMM returned to Peru to work with Pastor Pablo Masson. The teams were able to minister, in Lima, at a hospital, to people who live on the city dump, in a home for prostitutes and in the streets of Lima. We were able to participate and lead the woman ministry in the call of healing and prayer.
We will sending our 3rd team to Peru to travel throughout the community providing evangelism and discipleship opportunities in Lima and at tourist sites to the many of God’s lost. We will participate in local church services promoting unity, sharing testimonies and our music ministry. One of the things, we admired about Pastor Pablo and his ministry was his commitment to reach out and unite other ministries of Peru together.
Pastor Pablo says: "When the Lord called him to the full time ministry, He took him to the scripture in Colossians 1.28: "Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus". We will focus on individual ministering and street evangelism. We not only will have the opportunity to minister on the streets but we will explore the history and culture of Peru.
RECRUITING DISCIPLISHIP TEAM
Dave and Dorothy Henry
Peten Calvary International Base

In 2005, Single Minded Missions traveled to Guatemala assisting Dave and Dorothy Henry in spreading the gospel in a small mountain village. We partnership with the Inca Indians providing the material and direction to construct cooking stoves. The villagers build their homes out of grass and tree branches. They cook on a 3 stone open fire with no ventilation. They battle many forms of lung diseases, due to the constantly inhaling the smoke, as they prepare their corn to make tortea’s.
This year, we have been asked to participate in transporting medical supplies up into the villages. We will continue the stove project as well as constructing water systems for pure drinking water. The missionaries feel God has called them to continue to assist the villages in building water sheds to capture and collect rain water. Many of their villages do not have a viable source of portable water.
RECRUITING CHILDREN’S MINISTRY TEAM
Jack and Joellene Emaus
Street Light Ministries
Street Light Ministry has been reaching out to our community since 1988. Jack Emaus, Director says, “Seeing lives change because of Jesus Christ is what Street Light is all about.” Street Light needs many volunteers to continue to offer their children’s ministry, bible studies, hamburger night and out reach programs to the Inner City of Grand Rapids, MI. Single Minded Missions discovered Street Light to be a great training ground before traveling to host countries.
Single Minded Missions is currently recruiting a street team to share the word of God on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month. SMM looks at Street Light as an opportunity to be a missionary in the community we live in. We currently are building a team that will offer a summer Vacation Bible School experience to the Inner City children of Grand Rapids. We need laborers who are gifted to work in the children’s ministry that can give one week in July and/or one week in August.
