Instructors

Three instructors combine their different personalities and styles to bring a dynamic, synergistic approach to the subject of healing. Pastor Bernard D. Blauwkamp brings a powerful teaching anointing and Terry Heiss brings a demonstration of anointing. God is using these very different individuals to impact and affect people's lives.

Pastor Bernard D. Blauwkamp

Pastor Bernie was raised in a Christian home but didnít know Jesus as Lord. He knew Him only as religion. On February 5, 1985, Bernie had an encounter with the Lord, was born again and filled with the Holy Spirit. Around the same time, Pastor Bernie was diagnosed with an incurable intestinal disorder called chronic ulcerative colitis. After several months of battling this disease, he sought instruction from Pastor Duane Vander Klok on how to overcome this malady afflicting his body. Pastor Bernie began an extensive study of the healing promises in the Bible and claimed them for himself. As sometimes happens, his condition began to worsen with the onset of infection, internal bleeding, and a high fever. Not to be daunted, Pastor Bernie continued speaking the Word over his body. On Good Friday in 1985, healing manifested! This was documented by medical testing four days later with the doctors declaring that he had a brand new colon. Almost 21 years later, there has been no return of the disease or any symptoms.

After losing a friend to cancer in 1999, the Lord instructed Pastor Bernie to start a healing ministry that focuses on teaching. The healing classes at Resurrection Life Church are the result of Pastor Bernieís obedience to this instruction. He brings the gift of teaching; making Godís Word practical, understandable, and applicable. Pastor Bernie encourages people in their faith and lets the Word do the healing.

Pastor Bernie Blauwkamp has been in ministry at Resurrection Life Church since 1989. In addition to other administrative responsibilities, he oversees all healing ministries and assists other churches in the development of their own healing ministry. His passion is to see the body of Christ well.

Terry Heiss

As his wife faced serious health issues, Terry came upon Godís Word. He applied the principles he was learning and she was supernaturally healed. Through this process, he began attending the healing classes at Resurrection Life Church in July 2002. It was at this time that he became acquainted with Pastor Blauwkamp, leading to his involvement with the healing ministry. In addition to teaching the healing classes, Terry operates a full-time private law practice in Ada, Michigan and also serves as one of the directors of the Healing Rooms of Grand Rapids (affiliate of the Healing Rooms of Spokane, Washington).

Terry is a great communicator with special anointing in the area of signs and wonders and the gifts of the Spirit. He clearly communicates Godís truth as it relates to healing and the atonement.
