Freedom Ministry Classes

“…where the Spirit of the Lord is there is freedom.” (2 Corinthians 3:17) To live free, knowing who you are in Christ is the privilege of every believer. Freedom Ministry at ResLife is for everyone: those who are facing obstacles or overwhelming challenges and those who simply want to grow closer to the Lord. It is designed to help you hear and respond to God’s voice, identify and remove obstacles hindering your growth, discover your identity in Christ, live the life you were made for and learn how to be an influence in the lives of others.

The Freedom Ministry Process consists of four parts:

1. Foundations of Freedom Classes

Wednesdays, Nov. 1 – Dec. 6 | 6:30 pm | Room 466 (Entrance A)

These classes are designed to lay a foundation for your process of freedom. We recommend that you complete them before Topical classes and Kairos. Each class provides part of a bigger picture that will challenge and encourage you to walk in the fullness of who you truly are in Christ. PLEASE NOTE: There will not be class on Wednesday, November 23. To listen to audios of previous Foundation Classes, click here.

Class 1. Introduction to Freedom

God didn’t design us to be in bondage to anyone or anything. In fact, we were created for freedom. But what is freedom? How do I become free?

Class 2. Lasting Change

Our attempts at change often fail because we try to change for the wrong reason, change the wrong thing or we use the wrong tools. This class teaches on God’s provision for changing your life from the inside out.

Class 3. Hearing God

God speaks, and the Bible makes it clear that we are able to hear Him. Learn why and how He speaks so you can hear Him more clearly and receive the full impact of communicating with the God who loves you!

Class 4. Identity

Each of us was designed to be defined by God and God alone, but the enemy of our souls has a plan to distort our identity. You need to know that long before the enemy started targeting you, God chose you. You are who God says you are!

Class 5. Kingdom of God

The Kingdom of God is not like a kingdom, and it’s not simply a religion, a philosophy or moral teaching. It is a kingdom with Jesus ruling and reigning in our hearts. When we walk in freedom as the people He created and redeemed us to be, we will take ground for God wherever we go!

Leader: Pastor Deb Kirgis

2. Freedom Topicals

Designed to follow the Freedom Foundations, these classes address struggles and strongholds that can keep you from experiencing freedom in specific areas of your life. Each session provides a biblical understanding of the topic and concludes with a time of prayer. No registration is required. To listen to audios of previous Freedom Topicals Classes, click here.

UPCOMING CLASSES:

Wednesdays, Nov. 1 – Dec. 6 (no class Nov. 23) | 6:30 pm | Room 467-A (Entrance A)

Nov. 1 – Topic To Be Determined
Nov. 8 – Topic To Be Determined

3. Kairos

October 27 & 28

“He has made everything beautiful in its time.” (Ecclesiastes 3:11)

This two-day event is a time dedicated and set apart for anyone who wants to experience God’s presence, power and truth through a combination of worship, teaching and ministry. Whether you have experienced hurts and trauma or you just want to strengthen your relationship with God, it is a time set aside for stepping out of your environment and into His; a time for encountering Him deeper and greater than ever before; a time for receiving inner healing and breaking strongholds. It is a time for life-changing moments with God! We invite you to come and allow the Holy Spirit to do a deeper work of freedom in your heart. Prior to attending Kairos, we encourage the completion of Freedom Foundations classes (see above).

Take the Next Step – Legacy Journey

Since the very first Financial Peace University class 20 years ago, people have been asking, “So, what’s next?” We finally have an answer to that question: It’s called The Legacy Journey by Dave Ramsey! What does the Bible really say about money? About wealth? How much does God expect you to give to others? How does wealth affect your friendships, marriage and children? How much is “enough”? How should you invest for the future? How do you ensure that your family is truly secure? We’re going to answer all of those questions in The Legacy Journey by Dave Ramsey.

Guidelines: for those who have taken Financial Peace classes, this is a next step.

New class dates and registration coming soon.

Small Groups

God created us for community. He knows that life is best when shared with others. Small Groups provide the support, friendship and encouragement we all need to reflect Christ and become more like Him.

Small Groups allow people to GROW together and enjoy group life, CONNECT with other believers and IMPACT the world by discovering their personal ResLife!

In this safe environment, group members can explore their gifts and serving possibilities without feeling vulnerable or exposed. It’s a place where people can honestly share their lives, work on their problems, and be real together.

Small Groups are the best way to experience true biblical community. The goal of this kind of community is to produce healthy believers, full of purpose and a sense of belonging. The relationships forged in group life can take you to the next level in your journey!

God has used small groups of men and women to change the world. That has not changed! The potential of a small group of God-focused people is simply astounding.

Here are the ways to get involved with ResLife Small Groups:

Register to H.O.S.T. your own Small Group and allow God to use you in a mighty way. Obtain easy-to-use lessons and begin to gather your group members – family, friends, neighbors, co-workers – and get started!
